A car sped away after Portland Police East Precinct officers who tried to stop it at S.E 86th Avenue and Knapp Street.
The pursuit wound its way through neighborhood streets until the driver crashed the car in the Ardenwald-Johnson Creek neighborhood at S.E. 58th Drive and Johnson Creek Boulevard
“The driver of the vehicle got out and ran, but was quickly caught by police,” revealed PPB spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson. “During the pursuit, the suspect crashed into a parked car and an occupied pick-up truck.”
Officers located narcotics and a handgun in the vehicle after the suspect — later identified as 30-year-old Damon Jeffry Davis — bolted from the car, Simpson added.
In addition to a parole violation charge, Davis was arrested and booked on eleven charges, ranging from Delivery and Possession of Heroin and Cocaine, to being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Davis is reportedly still in Multnomah County’s Inverness Jail, with bail set at $127,500.
